The Band Together Campaign

Each year, students from the Algonquin College public relations program choose a local charity to benefit from their annual campaign. This year, students chose to raise money for the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health.

Over the years, students have raised nearly $400,000 for local charities, as well as national media coverage, and extensive online impact.

For the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health, students have created the Band Together campaign. The goal of this campaign is to raise $10,000 over four events, raise awareness for Wabano, and provide an opportunity for members of the community to learn about, and participate in, Aboriginal culture.

The launch of the campaign will be held on July 11, 2017, with four events taking place over the following two weeks. The four events for the campaign are: Strawberry Social;  Games for Wabano; The Art of Healing; and Lights, Camera, Wabano!
